Anyone know of a driver for the Creation CT630 (a cheaper but very well built cutter from china)? Their website isnt very helpful, and I've seen lots. Share this nice post. I had the same problem with my PCut CT1200 vinyl cutter, running through a COM port in Windows 7 fine, then disappeared when I upgraded to Windows 10. I uninstalled the LXi VinylExpress software, and re-installed.
I didn't use the driver on the CD with my old software, but had downloaded another copy so it was on my computer. I installed the downloaded driver in compatibility mode back to Windows 7, just as Sachin instructed, but wanted to add that my cutter didn't show up still, until I unplugged and re-plugged the USB from the cutter while it was on. As soon as I plugged the USB cable back in, the new COM port showed up in Device Manager, and finally I could run a test cut.

The Creation CR630 and CR1200 vinyl cutters are very similar. The CR630 is a 24″ cutter while the CR1200 is a 48″ cutter. Aside from the difference in length, the CR1200 also has an extra stepper motor to drive the sand roller and it has some additional pinch rollers. There are 3 places where we need to verify setting so that your cutter communicates properly. These 3 places are the cutter itself, the device manager and in the cutting program. I have now successfully cut 3 designs consecutively without failure. It's a brand new machine, freshly out of box just 2 days ago. If your cutter is cutting the image rotated, it is possible that you may have a CT-630 or CT-1200 motherboard installed in your unit. If this is the case, select the CT-630 or CT-1200 cutter from the driver list instead of the CR-630 or CR-1200 driver and your cutter should cut in the correct orientation.

I personally have never got mine to work with the USB driver, but when you install the USB driver the command prompt will open do what it needs to do and closes so your driver is installed. The USB driver is not like a normal printer driver, the PCUT CTO630 has an internal USB to serial convertor. So if check out the device manager on your PC and look in the Ports (COM & LPT) you will have a new COM (serial) port, once you have the COM port number you will be able to set up your vinyl plotter with the help of my set up guide You can have a try getting it working.
Repost from other thread - since there's other discussions going on: -- I just purchased a PCUT CT630, and having some troubles. I set it up according to the instruction, used the driver provided. I'm using ArtCut, which came with the CT630, Windows 2000 SP4, USB interface. Here are my symptoms: From the artcut, I click on 'Cut/Plot' button and the CT630 starts to plot few lines. But, about 2 seconds later, the blade holder goes all the way to the left, pushes the red button, and I get a message 'Waiting' displayed on the small LCD screen. At this stage, no buttons work. When the blade holder is pushing the red button, nothing works, as I (attempt to) physically move it towards the centre again, the CT630 resets.
